“Art Beats” is the 2nd Session of 2017 in our new Art of Music Studio.
Each week we will work on several take-home projects in a variety of media. During this session, we will be creating a progressive sculpture- “Taxidermy Art” or “Monster Face Art” (for the younger children), a “Hashimoto Circles” piece, “Name Game” Sculpture, “Blue Dog”, and a “King of the Jungle” art piece, just to name a few.
During music, we will sometimes integrate music with our art making and also experience different musical styles through fine and gross motor movement, finger plays, rhythm instrument play, parachute play, and other musical activities.
Each session is a blend of music and visual art experiences that actively involve children of all abilities (children with special needs as well as children developing typically) ages 1-21. Using visual arts, movement, and music, activities incorporate concepts such as: spatial and body awareness, fine and gross motor skills, language, sensory, social skills, community and acceptance, and the appreciation of the arts, etc.

(1-4 year olds require a participating adult to accompany them for this class)
